Korea, China Join Hands to Promote T-DMB Services

In order to promote T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) services in China, Korea's MIC (Ministry of Information and Communication) has convened a meeting with the Chinese government on digital broadcasting, which will then be held at regular intervals. Meanwhile, Korean ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) has signed an MOU with Beijing Jolon Digital Media Broadcasting on providing traffic information through T-DMB technology. The deal will help T-DMB equipment suppliers make headway into Shanghai and Guangdong.
